Glyn Lewis
My name is Glyn Lewis, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. I was born in England, United Kingdom, and my family immigrated to Australia in August 1966 when I was nine years old, a newfound country we all quickly fell in love with.
As a child, I learned Ballroom Dancing and became a junior Ballroom Champion. I related well with other children and enjoyed many sports. My teenage years were happy, and I chose to work in the Hospitality Industry, where I later advanced into Hospitality Management. This career path proved invaluable, teaching me empathy for all people and helping me develop strong communication skills.
However, as a child, my parents never read books to my siblings or me. After a successful career, and now in retirement, I visited a kindergarten as a guest. There, a mother sat on a tiny tot chair reading books to her young children. The children were delighted, listening to the story, pointing at the pictures, and fully engaged. Watching this brought me great joy and inspired me to do something for children, as I never had this experience myself growing up.
Determined to make a difference, I began writing children’s books, and succeeded. I now have twenty-eight children’s books published. I started my literary journey at 60 years of age, and I am now 68. Today, my writing has taken a new direction. I am now an author of Suspense Thrillers, with two published titles: The Bride of Fire – The Armageddon Awakens and my latest release, The Dead See Everything.
Now retired, I am enjoying life immensely, still joyfully reading my children’s books to kindergarten toddlers. My life has been deeply enriched by my literary journey. I have a motto for the children of the world: Learn – Grow – Prosper. You are all genuinely loved.
